PowerPoint to PDF: How to Share Decks That Look Right Everywhere

Convert PPT or PPTX presentations to PDF online, plus tips for fonts, animations and notes pages.

You've polished your slides. You email them to a client. They open them on a different device, fonts swap, layout breaks, and your masterpiece looks like a 1998 PowerPoint clip-art mishap. The fix: send a PDF.

How to convert

  1. Open PPT to PDF.
  2. Upload your PPT or PPTX file.
  3. Download the PDF.

What about animations?

PDFs are static — animations and transitions don't survive the conversion. Each slide is captured at its final state. If a slide depends on staged reveals, consider exporting it as multiple slides (one per stage) before converting.

Speaker notes

Some PowerPoint exporters let you include speaker notes in the PDF. If yours doesn't, copy the notes into a separate document and merge with Merge PDF.

Slides → handouts

Export with multiple slides per page (e.g. 6 slides per page) for printable handouts. The result usually compresses well — run it through Compress PDF before sending.

Going the other way

Need editable slides from a PDF? PDF to PPT handles the reverse.
