Watermarks are tiny but powerful. They tell your reader at a glance whether a document is a draft, who owns it, or whether it's authorised for distribution.

Use cases

  • DRAFT stamps on documents under review.
  • CONFIDENTIAL markings on internal reports.
  • Brand logos on portfolios and proposals.
  • Copyright notices on photos and design files.

How to add a watermark

  1. Open Add Watermark.
  2. Upload your PDF.
  3. Choose text or upload an image.
  4. Adjust position, rotation and opacity.
  5. Download the watermarked file.

Design tips

  • Opacity 20–35% is readable without overpowering the content.
  • 45° rotation for diagonal stamps; 0° for footer-style notices.
  • Place under content for branding; over content for DRAFT/CONFIDENTIAL.

What watermarks aren't

A watermark is not encryption. It can be removed by determined users. For real protection, combine it with password protection.
